Are you an estranged or care experienced student in higher education in the UK? Would you like funding or support to organise a meetup for you and other estranged and care experienced students? The Unite Foundation is able to help!

Please complete this form to tell us a bit more about your meetup idea and let us know what support you think you might need. Before filling it in, please All of Us meetup guidance as this explains what we need to know and how we might be able to help you.

It's important to complete this form at least 3-4 weeks before you intend to hold your meetup so the Unite Foundation has time to look at what you need, help you with any promotion (if you need us to) and to make any necessary bookings or payments.

The information you provide will be shared with Ira Hakim, All of Us Programme Manager (who can help you to plan and organise your meet up) and Safiyyah Hanif, Communications and Content Executive (who can help you to promote it).

The rules for all meetups

1. Meetups may be in-person or virtual, but they must be open to both care experienced and estranged students

2. If you are running a meetup supported by the Unite Foundation, share it within the All of Us social network, letting people know when/where and how they can sign up.

Where do you plan to hold it? (online, exact location if known or general area e.g. In Manchester or at Dundee DUSA)

How many people are you holding the meetup for (approx.)? We recommend somewhere between 8 and 20 students.

What is your meetup idea and what support are you looking for from the Unite Foundation? This is where you write out your thoughts for the meetup, including approximately how much funding you are requesting (around £8-20 pp) and what resources you might want from us. We will automatically create an Eventbrite to help us manage sign-ups unless you ask us otherwise. (See guidance document appendix for examples or past meetups or ideas.)

Ira Hakim, our All of Us Programme Manager, will be in touch by email (Ira.Hakim@UniteFoundation.org.uk) soon to help you bring your idea to life. We can't promise that the Unite Foundation can fund everything but it is always worth asking if you have an idea.
